I want to bring to your attention to an obstacle almost every guy slogging through the single scene trenches is forced to deal with - whether they're aware of it or not. Ask the group for their opinion on something If you do this correctly you will engage the whole group in conversation and become part of her social circle. Here is a simple example authored by Neil Strauss Ask the whole group, "Do you think men or women lie more?" Every one will put their two cents in. Then ask, "Who do you think is more likely to cheat - married men or married women?" The guys in the group will say, "Women." The women will argue, "Men." This sparks a heated debate amongst the group. And guess what, my friend? You become the ringleader amongst her friends. So you have the power to take the conversation with them in any direction you choose. More importantly, if you hit on their friends, they won't care because they'll see you as part of their social circle. Another important point: your energy level needs to be slightly higher than the group. Otherwise, you'll bring down their energy level and they'll get bored silly. Likewise, if your energy level is too high, you'll jar them. Either way, they'll ask you to leave. Here is your homework: Think of five interesting questions you can ask groups of people. These are your conversational gambits. The next time you are at a bar or nightclub and spot a woman you would like to meet, approach her social circle with one of these gambits.
